Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice Chairperson DP Aryal is set to be nominated for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR). The party decided to put forward his name during a parliamentary party meeting.
The decision was made immediately after the first meeting of the House of Representatives. According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane proposed Aryal’s name during the meeting, which was unanimously endorsed.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to hold elections on Sunday to elect the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
