Dor Prasad Aryal, Vice-Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).
Aryal secured the position after no other political parties filed nominations for the post, leaving him as the sole candidate. The formal announcement of his election is expected to be made during the House of Representatives meeting scheduled for Sunday.
Following the appointment of the Speaker, the parliamentary process will move forward with the election of the Deputy Speaker.
