Chairperson of the Janamat Party, C.K. Raut, has announced that he will retire from parliamentary politics. However, he said that he will continue what he calls “struggle politics.”

“I will retire from parliamentary (positional) politics but continue the politics of struggle. I will keep leading the party as long as the party needs me,” he wrote on social media. “I want to clarify publicly that I will stay away from parliamentary (post-based) politics, but this does not mean that I am disappearing from politics.”

He further wrote, “While remaining active in politics, I will continue to move forward with my principles and agenda and keep struggling for the people, serving them continuously.” The Janamat Party, led by C.K. Raut, is a party that emerged from the 2022 elections for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.
