KATHMANDU — The Government of Nepal has dismissed Armed Police Force (APF) Additional Inspector General (AIG) Banshi Raj Dahal from service, effective Friday, October 9, 2026.
According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the decision was taken following departmental disciplinary action against Dahal. Ministry Spokesperson Ananda Karki confirmed that Dahal was removed from his post for conduct contrary to official standards.
The ministry stated that AIG Dahal repeatedly violated conduct regulations, engaged in persistent indiscipline, and committed acts that tarnished the reputation and dignity of both the government and the Armed Police Force.
