Nepal Prioritizes Economic Diplomacy to Drive Growth and Improve Governance

Nepal’s Foreign Minister has stated that advancing economic diplomacy is a key priority of the government.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a virtual meeting with Nepali missions based in West Asia and Africa. In his opening remarks, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai underscored the importance of effective service delivery, promoting economic diplomacy in a changing global context, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.

In his closing remarks, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal highlighted the government’s core priorities, including good governance and economic prosperity through strengthened economic diplomacy. He instructed the missions to align their efforts accordingly and to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public service delivery through innovation and digitalization.
