Foreign Minister Khanal Meets EU Executive Vice-President Ribera in New York

Commitment to deepen Nepal–EU cooperation in recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction following the Bhotekoshi floods

September 22 — Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal held a meeting with Teresa Ribera, Executive Vice-President of the European Union (EU).
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York. The two sides discussed various aspects of the Nepal–EU partnership.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Khanal expressed his sincere gratitude to Ribera for her message of sympathy and solidarity with Nepal following the difficult situation caused by the Bhotekoshi floods.
The two sides exchanged views on various dimensions of the Nepal–EU partnership and reiterated their commitment to further deepen cooperation.
In particular, they discussed strengthening cooperation in the recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in areas affected by the recent Bhotekoshi floods, which were triggered by climate change.
