China has expressed its readiness to support Nepal in multiple areas. In a meeting with Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming stated that, as China has made significant strides in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Beijing can assist Nepal in this area. Similarly, China has proposed opening branches of Chinese banks in Kathmandu.
“We had a constructive exchange of views on bilateral cooperation in various fields such as banking, connectivity, tourism, and artificial intelligence,” the Chinese Ambassador said. “We reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening connectivity and advancing the pragmatic, efficient, and sustainable development of our bilateral relations.”
