Nepali Congress is preparing to declare Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa as the candidate for the future prime minister in the March 5 elections, leaders have said.
The Party’s Central Working Committee, which will take place on January 23, will take an official decision in this regard. Nepali Congress Spokesperson Dev Raj Chalise confirmed that a final decision had been made. Recently, Thapa was elected party president at the Special General Convention held in Kathmandu.
