The Election Commission of Nepal has announced that the candidacy nomination process under the First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) system concluded peacefully. Candidates from various political parties filed their nominations in all 165 electoral constituencies across the country.
Major political parties, including the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepal Communist Party, and Rastriya Swatantra Party, registered their candidates in almost all constituencies. In addition, several fringe parties also filed nominations in selected constituencies. Unlike in past elections, the major political parties have not announced any joint candidates or pre-poll electoral alliances among themselves.
