CIB Arrests Individuals in Connection With Fake Rescue Operations

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested several individuals in connection with fake rescue operations. CIB Chief and Additional Inspector General (AIG) Manoj KC said the arrests were made after obtaining permission from the court.

According to AIG KC, those arrested were involved in fake rescue activities that included fraudulent financial transactions and tourist scams. Nepal Police stated that several travel agencies were engaged in such fake rescue operations to illegally earn money. Police have also reported that they are receiving an increasing number of complaints related to these activities.
