A group of Nepali Congress leaders advocating for a special general convention met with President Ram Chandra Paudel on Monday. The delegation of around two dozen leaders, led by Amar Pun and Gururaj Ghimire, visited the President at Sheetal Niwas.
According to Ghimire, the discussion focused on the political environment following the Gen-Z movement, the elections scheduled for March 5, and internal disputes within the Nepali Congress.
During the meeting, President Paudel said that elections are the only way out of the current political deadlock. He welcomed the Nepali Congress’s decision to participate in the polls, saying it would help create a conducive electoral environment.
However, Paudel clarified that he could not comment on the party’s internal rift, urging the leaders instead to move forward in unity.
