PM Oli briefs Parliament about Spain visit

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday informed House of Representative about Nepal’s participation and achievement that Nepal made at the fourth international conference on Financing for Development which was held in Spain last week.

Speaking in the Parliament, PM Oli stated that the conference has contributed to increasing new partnership globally for economic diplomacy and has further accelerated the achievement of sustainable development goals. In the conference, PM addressed on the behalf of the least development countries, advocating for their justice and socio-economic development. PM outlined that through the implementation of conference outcomes, LDC countries is expected to receive increased global support in their bid in LDC graduation.

With forty-four least developed countries, Nepal has demonstrated the potential for effective leadership among those nations during the conference, he clarified. On the day before the conference, Prime Minister Oli addressed a gathering of civil society, calling for a proactive role of a strong civil society. Prime Minister Oli also shared that Nepal has adopted a democratic and liberal system for civil society.
