Prachanda Claims Domestic and Foreign Powers Back Stunt-Driven Figures

Chairman of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has claimed that domestic and foreign powers are making significant investments in individuals who gain popularity through political stunts rather than ideology and principles.

Speaking at a unity program between the NCP and the Chure Bhawar Party in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Prachanda said a growing trend has emerged in which people become popular through stunts instead of commitment to political ideology, sacrifice, and dedication. He alleged that such figures are being actively promoted by both domestic and foreign forces.

Prachanda stated that politics based on ideology, principles, sacrifice, penance, and martyrdom is being increasingly undermined. He added that campaigns against corruption, efforts to promote social justice, and initiatives aimed at addressing economic backwardness are being overshadowed by stunt-driven popularity.

He further said that, to build national strength and work in the interest of the country and its people, there is a need to intensify unity among communist and leftist forces.
