Nepal’s Election Commission has published the final results of the March 5 elections under the First-Past-the-Post (FPTP) system. According to the results, six political parties and one independent candidate have secured seats.

As per the final tally, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), led by Rabi Lamichhane, won 125 seats, emerging as the largest party under the FPTP category. The Nepali Congress secured 18 seats, followed by the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) with 9 seats. The Nepal Communist Party obtained 7 seats.

Meanwhile, the newly formed Shram Sanskriti Party (SSP), led by Harka Sampang, won 3 seats, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party secured 1 seat. In addition, one independent candidate was also elected.

Compared with the 2022 elections, the positions of the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have significantly weakened. The Shram Sanskriti Party is a new political force, having been formed only a few months before the election. Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s position has also declined compared to its previous standing.
