A total of 3,486 candidacies have been registered for the House of Representatives member election, 2026, under the first-past-the-post electoral system. The nominations were filed across the country’s 165 constituencies in a simultaneous process completed on January 20.
According to preliminary data, 3,089 of the candidates are male, 396 are female, and one candidate falls under the “other” category. Election authorities noted that minor changes may be made to the preliminary list.
