Kathmandu, March 17 — The Communist Party of China (CPC) has congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on its landslide victory in the March 5 elections, expressing readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation with Nepal.
In a congratulatory message sent by the CPC’s International Department, China emphasized its commitment to strengthening ties under evolving circumstances. Highlighting the long-standing relationship between the two countries, the CPC noted that Nepal and China are “connected by mountains and rivers” and share a time-honored friendship.
The message stated that under the strategic guidance of leaders from both nations, Nepal and China have established a strategic partnership of cooperation characterized by enduring friendship aimed at development and prosperity.
China also reiterated its willingness to work closely with Nepal to deepen political mutual trust, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and build a closer China–Nepal community with a shared future that benefits both countries and their people.
Referring to party-level relations, the CPC said it has maintained friendly exchanges with the RSP in recent years. It expressed confidence that under the leadership of Rabi Lamichhane and Balendra Shah, the RSP will remain committed to fostering friendly ties with China and contribute to strengthening cooperation across various sectors.
The CPC further affirmed its readiness to enhance exchanges and mutual learning with the RSP, aiming to jointly promote sustained, stable, and sound development of bilateral relations between Nepal and China.
